Mr. Billy WOO
Executive Director (Policy & Advocacy)
Mr. Billy Woo was appointed to the position of Executive Director (Policy & Advocacy) of the Competition Commission (Commission) in December 2021.
Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Woo has around 20 years’ experience working in the HKSAR Government. He has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former Housing, Planning and Lands Bureau, the Chief Secretary for Administration’s Office, the Education Bureau and the Civil Service Bureau. He was Principal Assistant Secretary for Security from 2012 to 2020, and Principal Assistant Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development from 2020 to 2021.
Mr. Woo graduated from the University of British Columbia, Canada in 1998 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in computer and electrical engineering.
