Mr. Eric SUN Yung-tson
Mr. Eric Sun is the Managing Director of Kinox group. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of New South Wales. As the third-generation successor to the Kin Hip Metal & Plastic Factory founded by his family in 1949, Mr. Sun upholds the brand’s core values, remains committed to brand innovation, and is dedicated to expanding global markets, leading the company to grow in research and development, production process, and marketing and sales. Under his leadership, Kinox has introduced more unique designs and added innovative elements into its products, focusing on kitchenware, household and commercial utensils, and electrical appliances.
In recent years, Mr. Sun has successfully fostered collaboration among next generation industrialists. In 2011, he was elected as the Founding Chairman of the Young Executive Council (YEC) of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI). Through YEC, he has provided an excellent platform for young industrialists to exchange ideas and promote cross-sector collaboration with other chambers of commerce, youth organizations, industrialists from different sectors, strengthening industry ties and supporting the development of local manufacturing.
Mr. Sun has served as the Founding Vice Chairman and Secretary-general of the Hong Kong O2O E-commerce Federation (HKOEF) since 2017. HKOEF is committed to promoting the digitalisation of Hong Kong enterprises and assisting traditional enterprises in upgrading, brand building and transformation through new economic systems such as e-commerce and the Internet of Things.
Mr. Sun is currently Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters Association, President of Hong Kong Plastics Manufacturers Association, Chairman of FHKI-Group 15, Vice-Chairman of FHKI-Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, Member of Fairs Organizing Committee of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, Member of Young Entrepreneur Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University, and Member of Hong Kong Qualifications Framework. He is also actively involved in public services to contribute to the community and society through concrete action.
Register of Member's Interests
The Competition Ordinance and the Rules of Procedure of the Commission require that a member of the Commission, or a member of a committee of the Commission, must disclose to the Commission any interest that the member has which is of a class or description determined by the Commission. The Competition Ordinance and the Rules of Procedure also provide that the Commission is to establish and maintain a register relating to any such disclosed interests which it must make available for inspection through the Internet.
The purpose of maintaining and publishing a register of interests is not specified in the Competition Ordinance. Nonetheless, the Commission infers that the purpose is to enhance transparency and to ensure objectivity, fairness and public confidence in the decision-making of the Commission.
