Mr. Patrick KWOK, PDSM
Executive Director (Operations)
Mr. Patrick Kwok was appointed as the Executive Director (Operations) of the Competition Commission (Commission) in May 2023.
Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Kwok served in the Hong Kong Police Force for over 33 years in a wide range of police posts, covering frontline operations, strategic planning, major event investigation and management. He joined the Force as a Probationary Inspector in 1989, was promoted to Senior Superintendent in 2011, Chief Superintendent in 2015, Assistant Commissioner in 2019 and finally held the post of Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island before retiring from the Force in February 2023. During his long career in the Police Force, Mr. Kwok received many awards and commendations, including the Anti-Riot Police Operation ‘Tiderider’ Medal (Wisdom) and the Hong Kong Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Mr. Kwok obtained a bachelor's degree in policing and police study from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom in 1997 and a master's degree in management, majoring in public sector management, from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004.
